TOPSHOP #LiveTrends

 
In partnership with TOPSHOP we used live Twitter data to instantly surface trends from the catwalk and turned them into shoppable looks.
 
 

London Fashion Week is one of the most exclusive, closed door events in the fashion calendar. As top designers reveal their looks on the catwalks, they’re discussed and shared on social media instantly. With up to 15 shows a day trends spread fast, but they won’t hit the shelves for another six months.

the idea

What if fashion fans could get next seasons looks faster?

#LiveTrends connected styles being discussed on Twitter during London Fashion Week, with looks immediately available in TOPSHOP. The clothes were then shared across the UK on digital out of home boards, and back into the conversation on Twitter. Mannequins in TOPSHOP were re-styled live as new trends emerged from the conversation.

Topshop.com was also updated live with the #LiveTrends as they emerged. Fashion fans that saw a trend they liked could simply Tweet @Topshop with the trend # to be Tweeted back with a link.

the impact

Sales of featured #LiveTrends looks increased by up to 75%. #LiveTrends created a genuine buzz and more than 3.87m impressions on Twitter.

press & awards

It inspired articles in Grazia and The Independent, was shortlisted in the Cannes Cyber Lions and won a CLIO award in New York.
